The Travel Wrench is a smart tool for self-defense developed by the US-American grand master Kelly Worden.
The Travel Wrench can be used in training but also on the street. There is a hole for the index finger, the hand is held in the palm of the hand. Like a Kubotan the tool protects the hand from injuries by supporting the fingers. At the bottom end of the Travel Wrench there is a straight part that can be used for blocking or striking.
The Travel Wrench is also called Impact Karambit because it was created based on the South-East Asian knife Karambit. Like a Kubotan this tool can legally be carried in Germany because it is not categorized as a weapon by the law. The application can be trained i.g. in the Filipino martial arts of Eskrima, Arnis and Kali.
